According to the Daily Star, the wanted militant is responsible for roadside attacks in Kabul, who has fled to southern Helmand province in hope of slipping across the border into Pakistan.It cited coalition intelligence chiefs as saying that the man was trained in Iran and uses aliases including “Abdul Ghani Mansour”.He was said to be hiding in Helmand in the house of Aga Mohammad, the second in command of Taliban in the province.
U.K. troops captured Aga Mohammad in a raid two weeks ago in which Mullah Naeem, the head of Helmand Taliban was injured. But the bomb-maker escaped.
According to the paper, drones based at Bagram air base are scanning Helmand in hunt for him.
